At Mott High School in Waterford, a dozen girls meet for a weekly talk about boyfriends. But these aren't casual chats about teen crushes. They're part of a new class on how to avoid dating violence. Senior Kia Jacob, 18, of Waterford said she'd witnessed abuse among family and friends and hopes the class saves her "a lot of heartache."
